In memory of Copper - April 2012

Copper came to us in 2004 from the SSPCA who had looked after her since she was found on waste ground in 2000. She had been emaciated, with badly cut legs, a lice infestation and a worm belly. She recovered well and spent many years in excellent condition.

April 2012, Copper fell in the yard and the vet confirmed a possible heart attack. She was very weak with laboured breathing, an irregular heartbeat, and unable to get up on her own. Amidst hail, snow and torrential rain we made the difficult decision to let her go. She was much loved and will be missed by everyone; including Taus and Johnny Rainbow.

The very, very, youngest she could have been was 30; and quite possibly at least five years older than that.
