Horatio, Fairy Snow and Brandy:
HORATIO
A very elderly white pony around 12.2hh relinquished through Leitrim County Vet. Found, apparently, abandoned in Drumshambo and no owner come forward.
He was in good health except for having only 2 teeth, plus one tusk and some back molars. His thin hooves needed trimming but he had obviously been looked after throughout his lifetime. He later lost his left eye.
He has problems eating and consequently it is difficult to keep his weight up.
FAIRY SNOW (left)
A pure white albino 3 year old filly relinquished on 23rd August 2005 as 
she suffers severe sweetitch and her owner could not manage her problem.
About 13 hh, (expected to make 14.2 - 15hh). A very sweet natured and quiet pony. Her eyesight not good in bright light or sunshine.
She was subsequently treated for sweetitch with good success rate using Freedom 45 SpotOn.
BRANDY (right)
An attractive 7 year old 12hh dark bay Exmoor pony. Relinquished during November 2006. Hewas overweight with a kind nature and breathing difficulties.
The vet confirmed he had had a rope halter left on him, probably as a foal, which had grown too tight, becoming embedded in his nose and behind his ears and had damaged his nasal passages. He now has white scarring over the nose and behind the ears. He is heavy crested and has a history of laminitis.
